What is an Agentic Native business?

EnclaveAI Studio’s working definition, intended to make the term useful rather than fashionable.

An operating model, not a feature list

An Agentic Native business is designed around the roles AI agents can responsibly perform, the humans who remain accountable and the evidence that the arrangement improves a real outcome. It is not simply a conventional business with a chat interface added later.

Every agent has to earn its role

For an agent to be useful, its job needs a defined input, an expected output, a cost, a failure mode and a way to measure performance. Some work is best automated. Some needs a human in the loop. Some is not economically sound to change at all. The design should make those boundaries explicit.

Measurable before scalable

We prefer to baseline the workflow before making broad claims. That means identifying the current time, quality, risk and cost; deciding what outcome would count as an improvement; and setting conditions for stopping or redesigning an agent when it does not meet the bar.

What stays human

Human judgment, accountability and escalation paths are part of the model. In particular, high-impact decisions require appropriate review rather than a system that acts alone because it can. The right design varies with the domain, the people affected and the consequences of an error.
